Dragon boats

A Dragon boat is 12.5 meters long and unmanned it weighs about 250 kg (550 pounds). It is shaped like a very long, open canoe rigged with a decorative dragon's head. It is powered by a crew of 20 oarsmen (10 left / 10 right), a drummer, who sits facing the crew and calls the stroke with the beat of his drum and a helmsman to steer the boat The crew needs to have an even number of oarsmen to keep the boat balanced.
