Tovačov castle


Tovačov castle is one of the most important architectural complexes in the Czech Republic and certainly deserves public attention. The city itself, surrounded by three-quarters of water and swamp forests is also worth seeing.
The castle was founded in the 2nd half of the 11th century, a water tower was added later to enhance protection. The 96 m (315 ft) high tower, called 'Madonna', was compleed in 1492 and is now a prominent landmark. Further information
